Living with glaucoma often means learning as you go—new terms, new treatments, and new questions that don’t always come up during a short doctor’s visit. That’s why we want to make sure you know about an upcoming free educational webinar and a collection of reliable resources created specifically for people affected by glaucoma.

Join the Free Webinar: Critical Conversations About Glaucoma

On January 20 at 3:00 p.m. ET, Prevent Blindness will host a live, free webinar designed for people living with glaucoma, care partners, and family members.

This session is all about helping you feel more confident, informed, and prepared—especially when it comes to talking with your doctors and loved ones.

What the webinar will cover:

  • How to describe vision changes clearly to your eye doctor
  • Tips for using glaucoma eye drops correctly and consistently
  • Managing the emotional impact of a glaucoma diagnosis
  • Talking with family about hereditary risk and the importance of eye exams

The webinar will be moderated by Hillary A. Golden, Founder of Glaucoma Coach and a graduate of the Prevent Blindness ASPECT Patient Engagement Program.

Expert speakers include:

  • Dr. Karen Allison, Associate Professor of Clinical Ophthalmology at the University of Rochester Medical Center and Prevent Blindness Board member
  • Dr. Pathik P. Amin, Visiting Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at the Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary, University of Illinois at Chicago
